9 Kings is out now on PC. It left behind the usual pre-release limbo quickly: the game was announced in April 2025, dated two weeks later, and went on sale in paid Early Access on May 23, 2025. Two things are worth noting about this timeline. First, it is clean: the Early Access date was announced and hit, and the mobile date has been confirmed on both the App Store and Google Play. There is no delay story to untangle. Second, the updates list is long: Sad Socket has posted dozens of announcements since launch, adding kings, modes, the multiplayer system and a complete rework of five decks. What about the 1.0 release date?
Not announced. The most recent patch announcement, for version 0.9.5 in July 2026, says only that "the 1.0 update is on the way", with no date attached. Sad Socket also promised in its launch Q&A that the base price will not rise for 1.0. When a date is published, this page gets the new fact-check stamp and the table above grows a row.
